Biblical Concept about Homosexuality

One of the most extraordinary biblical teachings we encounter when assessing the Word of God is that belonging to the area of salvation, which in specialized terminology goes by the name of soteriology. This term comes to us from the greek word “soterio” which means salvation and the english word “logy” which signifies study. When a people are rebellious and totally materialistic as our whole planet population is, they become indifferent to divine revelation and see things from a very human perspective, that is, they become independent of God. Instead, he who cares about a real future sets his sight on Heaven and tries to understand and respect God, his Creator. To my surprise, there is so much indifference in this world, and in this case, the people of my beloved Puerto Rico; how they go about their lives, placing so much importance on things that do not bear hardly any cosequence while being indifferent to those which are of great significance. A world like the one we live in, where television programs are full of vulgar content, evidences what I’m saying; programs like Héctor Marcano, Luis Vigoreaux, Silverio Pérez and others are clear examples of this lack of virtues. It really is an empty world devoid of educators with values and principles.

It’s like if deep inside, they want to mock life and challenge society and everything in their path; as if to escape the tragic reality of this world, cloistering and abstracting themselves to devise a particular world according to their own conceptions and interests. Much is said about the lack of love, but now, love means consent. He who does not agree with all the shameless behavior that any particular group emphasizes is not a loving person, for “love” has to welcome everyone and everything. How absurd! We live in an abnormal, illogical and even tragic world. There is no doubt that the world is in chaos. Just look around, mothers who kill their children; children who kill their mothers and how society typifies and even enthrones them.
In this introduction to this topic matter, I want to encourage Puerto Rican society to take very seriously what is really important. The people of Puerto Rico have always been a religious people. Our ancestors left us a great legacy and idiosyncrasy to seek God. Then, why have we become less and less educated and more frivolous, “…who call evil good, and good evil…” and strive in search of modern values just because everything “evolves”?

Principles do not change, they must prevail as building blocks or as a basis for the attendance of social order; for our people to intellectually, morally and spirituality succeed. Let us examine our social issues with the seriousness that they require, searching for guidance within the sources of greater wisdom and credibility. The truth of the Gospel, narrated in Scripture -that as this same book says, was inspired by God to bless mankind- should be the basis to the acquisition of inferring truths. If you want to be happy, you must understand the Gospel, because without this knowledge it is impossible to achieve emotional stability or good judgment.

Do not have the slightest doubt that God is the Creator. To all those evangelical ministers and theologians who want to listen, I say: “If you ignore and dismiss the Gospel in favor of administrative structures that take aim at the riches of this world, you are leading many souls to perdition; while if you are concerned to understand the correct method for the salvation of souls, which is the Gospel, you will become true servants of God, for this teaching is the foundation that brings faith and hope to all humanity. Have you ever wondered what the Gospel really is? This may seem like a silly question, but this was the single most important issue discussed in the sixteenth century Reformation. Time proved that Martin Luther and the other liberators of his time were always right, and that the Pope and his followers, contrary to this, were always wrong, because the Gospel is nothing less than a historical, objective, universal and complete salvation that Jesus of Nazareth bequeathed us.

It is necessary to distinguish between the adjustments (that led by the Holy Spirit to do so) you make as a believer, and the representative actions of Jesus of Nazareth, on behalf of men who believe. Jesus lived a holy life because that’s what God demanded in order to grant salvation to mankind. Had Jesus sinned, we would have no chance at salvation. Scripture says in Romans 5 that we were condemned because of one sin, and in the very same manner, by one righteousness (Christ’s) we are saved (Romans 5:17-18).

Says the great apostle:

21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all[a] who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
(Romans 3:21-24)

Notice how clear it is stated that Christ is the righteousness of God, and our redemption. This means that the righteousness that God required to grant life was obtained in Christ, and therefore, the Scripture speaks of an already achieved justice that saves us, for the Bible clearly and categorically teaches that Christ paid for all our sins
(1 Corinthians 15 :1-3). His representative work (righteousness) delivered salvation for all who believe.

In this confused world we live in, there are people who manipulate the Scripture, because they lack the inspiration of God, but nevertheless have become university educators who cannot, in spiritual terms, interpret the simplicity of our salvation in Christ.

I recently read an article on homosexuality written by a priest that seems to use Scripture. To Mr.  Brian W. Harrison, I’ll answer the way you would talk to an incompetent teacher: “You use Scripture to say that in God’s eyes all sins are evil, and that is true, adultery is as serious as homosexuality, but what you don’t say is that Christ, after forgiving the adulteress woman, Christ the asked the adulteress woman to abandon that practice. In the same manner, when forgiven, Christ asks homosexuals to abandon the practice of homosexuality. We cannot receive forgiveness without manifesting in us, the forgiven; repentance, and the progression of a christian personality as a result of that forgiveness. Basically, it all starts with the acknowledgement of our sin. While we insist to say that homosexuality is normal we will be encouraging it. It may seem ‘normal’ in this world of sin, but very abnormal before the Most High.”

Society rather than speak frankly and lovingly to homosexuals, consent them, while implicitly saying: “Keep up with your homosexuality for it is normal”. This is what the so-called educators of our country are saying. Is it that homosexuality is not a sin? Well, I’ll tell you that it is a detestable sin to the Lord. Do you know why? Because it is a sin that is based on disorderly intercourse. God created women to become a happy complement to the requirements and needs of men. Since the very beginning God said: “It is not good that man should be alone,” God knew that man needed a couple. Otherwise, God would then have promoted corruption, for man would have no choice but be forced to take on that kind of sin, but by creating a woman for this purpose, you cannot say that God did not provide for the happiness of man and the satisfaction of his needs. Nor can we say that God allowed man to choose his sexual preference, but rather, God clearly showed him what his sexual complement would be. Have you thought where do homosexual aberrations come from? Look now, see how far deep man has fallen because of sin, the practice of bestiality (men mating with animals). Is it possible that a man with enough intelligence to understand science, does not make good use of this knowledge in the analysis of this huge problem, that is, homosexuality, as a disperser of AIDS?

We love homosexuals, and so we bother to bring forth education (at the risk of being misunderstood) in order for them to benefit from the new order of things, where homosexuality will no longer exist. What will definitely exist is heterosexual marriage in a happy and endless coexistence.
The Prophet for the year 2000 Defends His Brother Jesus from Homosexuality Accusations

Being that we have been accepted by a Savior like Christ, who is the righteousness of God (that is, the righteousness God expects before His law), we must accept that this brother (Jesus), designated as eternal justice in Daniel 9:24, never had homosexual thoughts, much less, certain traits of that nature. The world has constantly offended He, who is the direct cause that we may have hope today. Unscrupulous, arrogant, and infatuated people, totally separated from Christ, the bravest man that history has ever seen; and yet, they seek to slander and destroy Him.
Christ is seen by the prophet Isaiah as the servant of the Lord in whom His soul (God’s) is pleased (see Isaiah 42:1). Paul also calls Him “the righteousness of God.” These two men inspired by God never could have said something so categorical as those statements were, if not because Christ was a real Lord and brave man. Notice these passages:

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God
(1 Corinthians 6:9,10).

Notice my dear reader the simplicity of the Word of God, not only homosexual practitioners will not enter the kingdom of God, but neither will those who have an effeminate or homosexual appearance, even if they don’t practice it, for the appearance of sin is a sin before God.

How, then, can some dare say that Christ had homosexual tendencies, when Christ is the Ruler of the Kingdom of Heaven, in which He will not allow the effeminate, nor the Sodomites?
This lady, a declared bisexual, should, for her own good, be more cautious before the Most High, and avoid the condemnation of God upon her own head. (You have no idea of the magnitude of your sin, it is so extreme that you have attempted to leave us without a Savior, for the sake of justifying your bisexual interest. How awful!

You call yourself a human rights advocate? But where are the rights of this human being called Jesus of Nazareth; rights that you so blatantly ignore and pretend to strip Him off them? Advocate? Quite the opposite, you are a subduer and snatcher of the rights of the most illustrious man that the world has ever come to know.
Contrary to your bisexual vision, Mrs. Rivera, Christ was a man of character whom you couldn’t look in the eye, as stated by Publius Lentulus, Governor of Judea, in his historical profile “Portrait of Jesus”  presented below. To the reader of this historical document we say: Please notice through this eyewitness testimony, the strong personality of our Lord, who for us all, was able to carry a heavy cross, that no weakling effeminate could carry.

Christ was a very strong human being, for which His work as a carpenter, in all likelihood, made of Him a wonder of physical strength and mental fortitude. He easily expelled the merchants from the temple, and that’s not of an effeminate, but a man with incredible strength and unwavering determination. Had Christ been a man with homosexual tendencies, we today would have no Savior, but thank God that He deserved his two extraordinary titles for His representative conduct on earth, namely, the Savior of the world, and the King of kings and Lord of lords. Notice the connotation of the title of Lord of lords, He was not the Lord of effeminate, but of lords or kings. So Mrs. Mary Rivera, be careful, for you are not talking about your neighbor, but about your Creator.

I recommend you a give yourself a little mouthwash with “Listerine” before pronouncing offensive words against our Creator and Lord Jesus. He, who is the object of the faith of a people once called Boriquén. Forgive my radical opposition to your words, but Jesus is my older brother and I came to this world to reveal the Word of God and to remind them that Jesus died for our sins. My very brave brother, whom I admire and respect with all my heart! And I will never shut up before any offender that can stand up against our Savior. I honestly say to you that you have committed a quasi unforgivable sin, for which, someday you will have to publicly repent, for that’s how it was committed, before a television audience.

The biggest problem I see in this whole affair is the frivolity with which these matters are being focused. I do not resent or hate my secular friends that live with that homosexual condition, but I could never be of any help or show them acceptance as people, if I hide them the truth, and instead encourage them to continue that course; that would be deceiving them. He that dares to tell the truth, loves more than those who, like you, “sugarcoat the pill”, consenting and encouraging such practices. Not one of you would dare deny that the subtle message is: “Regardless of your homosexual practice, God loves you.” I do not deny God’s love for all, but God will save repenting sinners, not those who insist on the practice of sin.

And for those of you who are into taking texts out of context, I say: God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for that kind of perverted homosexual relationship. And that judgment of God against Sodom constitutes jurisprudence for all times in history, for it is a matter of principle. Says the Bible narrative, that the men of that time preferred to rape the angels than the daughters of Lot (Genesis 19:4-9), hence the name of sodomites.

How can a person be so pretentious in the face of so much evidence, both in the Old and New Testaments? Teachings that are as clear as sunlight. How pretentious are some lesbians and homosexuals, to deny the truth, simply because it goes against their personal interests! Notice the ruse and singsong: “Love one another”. Christ calls us to love one another, but love does not exist apart from the truth, for they are inseparable. That which exists apart from the revealed truth is hatred, resentment and perversion. It is you, the sophists promoters of this mortal sin, who under no circumstances love your fellow men, depriving them of eternal life. Furthermore, biblical love is pure and does not seek its own, as the apostle says in 1 Corinthians 13.
Despite their sins, I can say that I love them and seek their well being, that’s why I bother to educate them with the truth. For Christ to justify a man, this man must respond with repentance of his sins, but if he does not repent, he’ll end up in hell. And it’s not a matter of pointing out that society is in a state of corruption, like Bryan W. Harrison says, for that is obvious, but it is necessary to understand that salvation requires repentance, dependence on Christ and His judicial work, and showing that our faith is legitimate, while placing ourselves in the path of a relative obedience. We must recognize, identify and abandon sin as proof that our faith is legitimate. On the other hand, he who does not follow this procedure, his faith is a mere presumption. My dear homosexual brother: Believe in Jesus, abandon that lifestyle, because for Jesus that is a path of abomination and disorder, proceed to save yourself by repenting. The end of the world is near. I urge you, for your own sake, save yourself and help others to attain salvation. This advice goes to you with clean and brotherly love from the Prophet for the year 2000, Luiko of Jesus (LJL).

In this section, the Prophet for the year 2000 shares a historical document of Jesus of Nazareth that he obtained while he was still a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and that he keeps as evidence of the nature and manly projection of his beloved brother Jesus.
The Portrait of Jesus

Publius Lentulus, Governor of Judea, had the joy of seeing our Lord Jesus Christ in the days of his public life. Described below is the portrait of our Savior that Publius sent Caesar:
“I have learned, Oh Caesar, that you desire information about the man called Jesus Christ, whom the people regard as a prophet and his followers as the Son of God, Creator of Heaven and Earth. In fact, Caesar wonderful things are heard about him every day.

To be concise, I will just say that he raises the dead and heals the sick. He is a man of medium height, whose visage expresses humility and such dignity that he can not be looked at without loving and fearing him at the same time.

His hair, is of the color of the ripe hazelnut, straight down to the ears, from there to shoulder length it’s light brown and shiny, parted in two on the top of the head, after the pattern of the Nazarenes. His beard, the same color of his hair, is curly, not long, but divided in half. His eyes, though severe, have the sparkle of a sunbeam, no one can look at them directly. His rebukes inspire fear, but then he cries. Even in severity he is affable and amiable. He had never been known to laugh, but often to weep.

His stature is straight, his hands and arms beautiful to behold. All find his conversation to be pleasant and seductive. He is rarely seen in public, but when he does appear, he presents himself with extreme modesty. He is of a very distinguished appearance. The most beautiful among the children of men. On the other hand, his mother is the most beautiful woman ever seen in this country.

And although he has made no studies, he knows all sciences. He walks barefooted and his head uncovered. Many people laugh from afar, but yet, when they come close, they tremble and admire him; the Hebrews say they have never seen a man like him, or heard teachings like his. Many believe that he is God, others say he is His enemy, Oh Caesar! Those bad Jews bother me anyway. He has never been known to grieve anyone, but instead strives to make everyone happy. If you want to meet him, Oh Caesar!, like you have said and written me again, let me know and I will deliver him to you.

Grace shines in His face, kindness in all his words, the nobility in his bearing, correctness in all his manners. He is without a doubt the irreproachable Master that God has sent men to teach them by example -even more than through his words- the Truth and Virtue.
